Nestled in the hills above Central City, Nevadaville was once a thriving mining community born from Colorado’s 1859 gold rush. With over 4,000 residents, it buzzed with life, labor, and frontier spirit. But time, fire, and neglect reduced its buildings to stone foundations and scattered relics.
The Nevadaville Heritage Foundation exists to change that.
Founded by preservationist and Master Mason Jake Westling, NHF is dedicated to stabilizing what remains and telling the story of a town that helped build the West. We blend hands-on restoration with historical research and community pride to ensure Nevadaville’s legacy isn’t lost to history—it’s honored, rebuilt, and remembered.
